About High Street Nursery
Our Mission
At High Street Nursery, our mission is to provide high-quality child care services that promote curiosity, development and growth. We strive to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and explore. Our most important priority is to ensure that children are nurtured and cared for, ensuring we build strong positive attachments with them, through a personalised settling in process.
Our Staff
Our staff are highly trained and experienced in child care. They are passionate about working with children and are committed to providing the best possible care and education for your child.
Our team is lead by Kelly who has over 18 years experience in childcare and has both a Foundation Degree and Honours Degree with distinction in Early Years. All of our staff are qualified to SVQ3 or above, and maintain at least 12 hours of additional learning a year.
Curriculum
We work with Scottish Governments’ Realising the Ambition guidance, which means that learning opportunities are completely tailored to each child’s needs. Broad topics are introduced while scaffolding our activities to align with each child’s stage of development. We work closely with Scottish Borders Council to ensure that our planning approach meets the most up to date guidance and ensures a smooth transition for your child to school nursery when the time comes.
